For Antoine Tolton, tax preparation has always been about people. Numbers came naturally growing up in New York City, but it was the relationships along the way that shaped the person—and the business—he is today.

From New York to a home in Maine

At five, Antoine joined the Fresh Air Fund, which introduced him to summers in New England and the Weatherbee family in Maine. Those visits became a lasting connection. At eighteen, an invitation to finish high school with the family brought him to Maine for good. It’s also where he met his wife, whose encouragement helped him pursue his dreams.

Finding purpose in tax preparation

Volunteering as a tax preparer with AARP helped Antoine discover how much he enjoyed this work. Seeing familiar faces return each year, and knowing his help made a difference, inspired him to keep going. After working at an accounting firm, he created A T Tax Services to continue helping people in his own way.

I’m a jeans-and-T-shirt kind of guy who loves playing and coaching softball. I bring that same relaxed, approachable spirit to tax preparation. You can sit right beside me, ask questions, and be part of the process as we prepare your return together.

You don’t have to come to an office. I bring my laptop and printer to you, so we can work wherever it’s convenient—my home, your home, a restaurant, an office building, or even a job site.
